Fees

Fees are to be paid in advance before the start of each term. The Fees Notice is issued before each term.
Payment options are:

  • Cash
  • Cheque/Money Order
  • Direct Debit into Cairns Community Kindergarten Bank Account
  • Internet Banking Transfer
  • Pay by instalment. You’ll need to fill-out a payment plan.

MEMBERSHIP FEES-

$2.00 per parent/guardian

This is paid on acceptance of your child’s place at the Centre.

ACCEPTANCE BOND-

$155.00

This is paid on acceptance of your child’s place at the Centre. The acceptance bond in non-refundable and will be deducted from your 4th Term Fees.

TERM FEES-

$775.00 per term (10 weeks)

Session fees are payable in advance for each term. If you have more than one child attending the Centre, there is a 10% discount from the session fees for the other child/children attending. If you hold a valid health care/government concession card or are Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander you may be eligible for a reduction in the session fees.

MAINTENANCE LEVY-

$110.00 per term.

Refundable upon completion of 3 hours of work per term by parent or guardian.

RESOURCE LEVY-

$35.00 per term

The cost of photo DVDs, printing photos, photocopying, children’s portfolios, performers and visitors are included in this levy.

  • Parents may wish to discuss monthly advance payments with the Fees Officer if term payments are not convenient.
  • Fees are not charged for school holidays.
  • Fees will not be refunded to parents or guardians in the event of the Kindergarten being closed due to emergencies or natural disasters (e.g. floods, cyclones etc.).
  • A child may not commence another term if the previous term’s fees have not been paid.
  • If you hold a valid health care care/government concession card, you may be eligible for a reduction in the session fees.

The Kindergarten is registered with the Commonwealth Child Care Benefit Scheme.

Receipts for the scheme are issued at the end of each term, once the care has been completed, in accordance with the guidelines from the Family Assistance Office.

Eligible families may claim child care benefit using the “Claim for Child Care Benefit for Registered Care” form issued by the Family Assistance Office, 136 150.
