KINDY PLUS – If you identify as ATSI or hold a valid Health Care/Concession/Dept of Veteran Affairs card.
Proof of Eligibility for concession or FTB reduction will be required.
What year will my child attend Cairns Community Kindergarten?
Our centre offers a play-based educational program for children who turn 4 years by 30th June in the year they attend.
See our table to check which year your child is eligible to start kindergarten. Your child is eligible for Prep after the Kindergarten year.
We have two Kindergarten groups. Both groups ensure children receive 600 hours of education across the school year as prescribed under Universal Access.

Our Kindergarten is a community based, not for profit organisation operated by an elected parent committee who is responsible for the general management of the Kindergarten.
